Glassinc was founded by Miles Swanepoel in the late 1990s when he decided to go into business for himself after 20 years of experience in the glass industry. The company initially offered frameless glass showers and screens to the local market.
Our technical expertise and a quality in the frameless market product soon led to requests from architects, interior designers, developers and homebuilders, for additional products. The company’s product portfolio expanded rapidly until it was providing a wide variety of glass products for the architectural and design markets.
In addition to its local activities, the company was soon operating in markets outside Kwazulu-Natal, including most of the other provinces in South Africa, and abroad in Mauritius, Seychelles and Mozambique.
It soon became apparent that clients were demanding a high level of service and that Glassinc was going to have to become involved in the manufacture of as many of its products as possible, in order to meet those high expectations.
It was also seen as important for the company to get maximum flexibility in design and in keeping costs low.
Today, the company’s factory is fully established and plays a vital role in ensuring that product is always of the highest quality and that lead times are kept to an absolute minimum.
